Trail Ridge Road is the main road through Rocky Mountain National Park. Seen here is the portion of the road that travels at a high enough elevation to be considered arctic. Despite the majestic feel of the wide views of mountains in every direction, only the hardiest plants and animals can survive these harsh conditions.
